Last Assistance # 2019

Documentary series that deals with "God and the world" in its truest sense.

"Last help - to live means to learn how to die"

Nothing in life is as certain as death. Still, death is often a suppressed topic: How to deal with the loss of loved ones? How to deal with your own mortality? The film carefully focuses on the topic of death, during which we talk with thanatologist and emergency psychologist Martin Prein, the Catholic theologian and funeral director Ingrid Mohr, and the journalist Felix Hütten, author of the book "Learn to Die".

Having different approaches and attitudes on the matter Martin Prein, Ingrid Mohr, Gisbert Greshake and Felix Hütten, all professionals agree in one, how the philosopher Michel de Montaigne put it: “To live means to learn to die.

Zero waste! Waste avoidance makes happy

Consumption, the amount of waste and disposable products resulting from it plays an increasingly important role in our society. Packaging waste is part of our modern life: single-use items and disposable bottles, convenience food and Amazon orders. It seems as if we can not escape this packaging madness. Even though we shop consciously, it is difficult not to produce any waste.

The film Is less more?“ introduces people and projects that deal with the avoidance of packaging and waste in everyday life, shows how a problem awareness can be helpful already in school and what paths the plastic-producing industry wants to take in the future. On a moral and philosophical level, we also discuss the questions of voluntary reduction, the psychology of consumption and renunciation, and the individual's responsibility.

Of course, since the film can not provide us with universal solutions and answers to the waste problem, the individual motivation to act on his own will prevail.

Last help - to live means to learn how to die

Nothing in life is as sure as death. Still, death remains to be a reserved topic: how to deal with the loss of loved ones? How to cope with your own mortality? The film carefully focuses on the topic of death and presents the ideas from thanatologist and emergency psychologist Martin Prein, Catholic theologian and funeral director Ingrid Mohr, and journalist Felix Hütten, author of the book "Learning to die".

As different as the approaches of Martin Prein, Ingrid Mohr, Gisbert Greshake and Felix Hütten on the topic of death and farewell may be, all three agree in their appreciation of the philosopher Michel de Montaigne, who realized: "Living means learning to die."
