Albania | A country on the move # 2019

As part of the Austrian-Albanian Year of Culture 2018, this 45-minute documentary will take the viewer on an exciting journey through the art and cultural scenes of Albania, a country undergoing constant change, torn between communism and capitalism, East and West, banks and bunkers. A proud country. And often a misunderstood one.

Prejudices and the long shadow of communist dictatorship are still visible throughout Albania. Today, in its capital Tirana, wild political art meets socialist pathos, and so the Balkan metropolis is a continuous “work in progress”: colourful, unorthodox and always good for a surprise.
